Microsoft 365 AI integration
Scope a useful Microsoft 365 workflow around the tenant permissions and information your organisation can authorise.
Understand the service
What this means in practice
Microsoft 365 AI integration may involve mail, calendars, files or meeting information accessed through supported services such as Microsoft Graph. The first question is not which model to choose. It is which resources the workflow needs and whether the organisation can grant proportionate access to them.
Temrik can assess a defined Microsoft 365 use case with your administrator. The design should distinguish user-delegated access from application access, establish the information boundary and specify any human approval before writing or sending. Available APIs, licences and tenant policies determine what can actually be implemented.
- Microsoft Graph: permissions overview Access depends on permissions and resource authorisation.
- Microsoft: approval workflows Human approval can be part of an automated process.
A practical workflow example
A coordinator wants a daily brief of approved project messages and upcoming meetings. A proposed pilot uses a limited source set, links each summary to its original record and keeps draft follow-up actions for review. It does not require access to every mailbox or automatically invite external attendees.
Proposed engagement
How we would approach the work
Confirm the tenant boundary
Identify the administrator, intended users, resource owners and supported licences. Document the access model and required consent.
Choose the minimum scope
Map each feature to a specific permission and resource. Separate read access from editing, sending or sharing capabilities.
Verify lifecycle behaviour
Test permission removal, expired access, changed membership and unavailable sources. Document how the organisation can revoke the integration.
Deliverables to agree in the scope
- A Microsoft 365 workflow and permission brief.
- A proposed tenant configuration and review checklist.
- A bounded pilot test plan covering access and write controls.
Access, sample information and reviewer availability affect the plan. Any implementation, provider costs, support arrangements and acceptance criteria are agreed before work begins.
Limits worth understanding
- A Microsoft Graph permission does not by itself establish that every resource is accessible.
- Temrik does not claim Microsoft partnership, endorsement or universal tenant compatibility.
Questions to bring to the first conversation
- Which mailbox, site or calendar does the workflow need?
- Who can approve the required consent?
- Can the first pilot work without write permissions?
International teams
Scope the work for your operating context.
For a multi-tenant business, identify where each user and resource actually lives. Cross-tenant access, guest users and regional policies should be explicit dependencies; a single Microsoft sign-in does not mean every business unit shares the same authority.
